Scaramucci Sees $100K Return for Bitcoin Amid Upcoming Halving Cycle
Bitcoin's price has been stuck in a sideways movement for some time, but Anthony Scaramucci remains bullish on its future. In a recent CNBC interview, he pointed to three factors that could push BTC back above $100,000: the upcoming halving cycle and tighter supply as key factors.
The first factor is the shift of computing power towards AI-related activities by some Bitcoin miners, affecting the network's hash rate and reducing volatility. Capital has also moved away from crypto and into the booming AI sector, reducing liquidity flowing into Bitcoin and other digital assets.
Scaramucci noted that the traditional four-year Bitcoin cycle is now more than two years in, with roughly 18-19 months remaining until the next halving. He believes this will reduce the new supply of Bitcoin entering the market, potentially creating a supply squeeze.
John Darsie, CEO of SALT, agrees that Bitcoin's holder base is maturing, with early investors selling while institutions, advisers, family offices, and sovereign funds increase their BTC holdings. This shift could reduce volatility and strengthen Bitcoin as a store of value.
