Scaramucci Sees Bitcoin's Shallow Drop as Bullish Signal
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, believes that Bitcoin's current bear market is a sign of underlying strength. Speaking at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium on Tuesday, he pointed out that this cycle's drawdown of roughly 55% is significantly lower than the 75% to 80% declines seen in prior downturns.
Scaramucci emphasized that historically shallow drops are often followed by a strong rebound in the cryptocurrency. He noted that over his 37 years in finance, he has witnessed nine bear markets, and the milder losses this time suggest a more resilient base of buyers positioning for the next upswing.
The SkyBridge Capital founder attributed Bitcoin's prolonged period of muted price action to three converging forces: miners redirecting computing power toward artificial intelligence infrastructure, substantial capital flowing out of the broader cryptocurrency sector into AI-related investments, and the well-documented four-year cycle entering its typical bear phase.
