Scaramucci Sees Strong Demand Driving Bitcoin's Price Above $100,000
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, spoke at the SALT Wyoming Blockchain Symposium about Bitcoin's current market performance. Despite a 55% decline, which officially puts it in a bear market, Scaramucci views this drop as a healthy correction rather than a precursor to a crash.
The significant narrowing of the decline indicates that underlying demand is more effectively offsetting selling pressure. Historically, Bitcoin bear markets have seen corrections of 75%-80%, so this lower figure reflects resilient demand.
Scaramucci attributes this resilience to changes in capital flows and the structure of selling pressure. Some capital has shifted from the crypto sector to artificial intelligence investments, but this shift has not triggered panic selling.
Instead, it suggests strengthened confidence among holders, leading to a relative convergence in price volatility. The diminishing block reward mechanism continues to reinforce the narrative of scarcity, while the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs has opened compliant channels for traditional investors.
