Schiff vs Saylor: Bitcoin Speculation Sparks Debate Over Strategy's Future
Peter Schiff continues to criticize Michael Saylor and Strategy's Bitcoin-driven capital structure, arguing it promotes 'excessive speculation'. According to Schiff, this could leave Strategy's common shareholders with nothing.
However, Saylor points out that STRC, Strategy's variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, is the biggest holding in three major US preferred stock ETFs. The current market price of STRC is near $86, still below its par value of $100.
Schiff also reiterated his bearish Bitcoin outlook, warning a break below $50,000 could trigger a deeper decline toward the $20,000-$30,000 range.
Despite growing institutional adoption of Strategy's preferred stock, retail investor sentiment for STRC remains in the 'bearish' range on Stocktwits, with extremely low levels of chatter over the past day.
