Schiff Warns of AI-Enabled Hacking Threat to Bitcoin

Peter Schiff, a well-known Bitcoin critic, has made a fresh criticism of the cryptocurrency. He believes that advancements in artificial intelligence and quantum computing will increase security risks for Bitcoin holders.

This warning comes after the discovery of a significant flaw in Coldcard's firmware, which led to the theft of up to $89 million from over 1,200 addresses. The vulnerability affected the wallet's random seed generation process, allowing attackers to reconstruct wallet seeds and drain affected accounts methodically.

Schiff argues that this incident demonstrates how even specialized security devices can be vulnerable to software engineering errors. He claims that AI and quantum computing will make hacking easier in the future, but experts note that current quantum computers are not capable of cracking Bitcoin's cryptography.
