Schumer Introduces Bill to Combat Corruption Amid Trump Family Cryptocurrency Holdings

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has introduced legislation to combat corruption within the executive branch, citing concerns over President Donald Trump's financial disclosures.

The bill aims to establish an agency dedicated to investigating and preventing corrupt practices among government officials.

Schumer pointed to Trump's 2025 financial reports, which show more than $2 billion in investment income, including approximately $1.4 billion linked to cryptocurrency.

The legislation also highlights the Trump family's ownership of a cryptocurrency fund valued at over $1 billion, allegedly tied to foreign governments.
