Schwab Adds Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink to Crypto Platform
Charles Schwab is taking its crypto offerings to the next level by adding three new digital assets to its platform. The brokerage will soon support Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK) alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum, giving eligible clients access to a total of five major cryptocurrencies. This move marks an expansion of Schwab's existing crypto services, which are integrated into the same ecosystem used for stocks, funds, and cash.
The scale of this development is significant: as of the end of July, Charles Schwab reported $13.04 trillion in client assets and nearly 40 million active brokerage accounts. Trading these new assets will come with a fee of 0.75% per transaction, although key features like external wallet transfers and staking for SOL or AVAX have not yet been confirmed.
