Charles Schwab has announced plans to add Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK) to its crypto platform, expanding direct trading beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum for US retail clients. The brokerage currently has $13.1 trillion in client assets and 39.8 million active accounts.

The company said it chose these three tokens after considering customer interest and focusing on established digital assets. Solana rose more than 9% over 24 hours, while Avalanche and Chainlink recorded smaller gains following the announcement.

Charles Schwab charges a 0.75% fee per crypto transaction and plans to add more digital assets over time. The company said demand will continue to guide which cryptocurrencies are listed, with existing customers able to buy and sell SOL, AVAX, and LINK through their existing relationship with the brokerage.
