Schwab Bolsters Crypto Platform with Solana, Avalanche, Chainlink
Charles Schwab, one of the largest US brokerage firms, is expanding its cryptocurrency offerings by adding Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink to its digital asset trading platform. The move comes after Schwab launched its Schwab Crypto platform in May 2026, initially offering direct trading in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The three new assets will join the existing ones on the platform, allowing clients to buy and sell them with access to a pool of educational resources and 24/7 support. The brokerage charges 75 basis points or 0.75% on the dollar value of each crypto trade.
Joe Vietri, Head of Digital Assets at Charles Schwab, noted that the additions are 'established cryptocurrencies' that met its criteria. The company may delay, modify, or withdraw support for an announced asset depending on market or regulatory risk considerations.
