Schwab Expands Crypto Offerings with SOL, AVAX, and LINK Trading
Charles Schwab, one of the largest asset managers in the US, is expanding its crypto offerings to include trading in Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK). The move comes as part of Schwab's efforts to provide clients with more options for building a digital asset allocation.
The addition of SOL, AVAX, and LINK token trading will allow Schwab Crypto clients to buy and sell these cryptocurrencies in the coming months. This expansion builds on the platform's existing offerings, which already include direct access to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading.
Schwab's Head of Digital Assets, Joe Vietri, noted that the move is consistent with the company's approach to providing clients with access to familiar cryptocurrencies backed by an ecosystem of education, tools, resources, and support. This approach aims to help clients make informed decisions about how crypto might fit into their broader investing goals.
The timing of this expansion is notable, as the crypto market has been experiencing a resurgence in recent weeks due to the surge in Bitcoin's price. AVAX is up 15% in the last 30 days, while SOL and LINK are up over 40% each in the same span.
