Charles Schwab is expanding its cryptocurrency offerings by adding three major altcoins to its platform. The new assets are Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink, which will be available for clients to buy and sell in the coming months.

The move follows the company's recent rollout of direct crypto trading, where Schwab Crypto charges 75 basis points per trade. This service allows clients to manage their cryptocurrencies alongside traditional investments through existing platforms.

Schwab's Head of Digital Assets, Joe Vietri, stated that the additions are 'consistent with our approach to provide clients with access to familiar cryptocurrencies backed by an ecosystem of education, tools, resources, and support.' The goal is to give clients more choices for building a digital asset allocation alongside their investing and banking experience at Schwab.
