Schwab Expands Crypto Platform with Chainlink, Solana, and Avalanche Additions
Charles Schwab has expanded its crypto trading platform by adding Chainlink (LINK), Solana (SOL), and Avalanche (AVAX) to the previously available Bitcoin and Ethereum. This move, driven by client demand, increases trading options for nearly 40 million account holders who can now integrate crypto with traditional investments on one platform.
Schawb charges a 0.75% fee per crypto trade, which is competitive given the convenience of using a single platform. The new tokens reflect Schwab's recognition of diverse blockchain technologies and use cases beyond base-layer coins.
The additions will roll out in the coming months, offering more flexibility to investors who can now access these three cryptocurrencies alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum on the Schwab Crypto platform.
