Schwab Expands Crypto Platform with Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink Additions
Charles Schwab, a leading financial services firm, is expanding its cryptocurrency trading service to include three additional digital assets: Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK). This move comes as the company continues to offer direct access to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading. The new additions are part of Schwab's plan to provide clients with more choices in building a digital asset allocation.
Schwab Crypto, which began rolling out to clients in May 2026, features in-depth education resources and allows clients to view and trade crypto alongside traditional investments on platforms like Schwab.com and thinkorswim. The service also comes with 24/7 support and trading fees of 75 basis points.
Joe Vietri, Head of Digital Assets at Charles Schwab, said that the expansion is consistent with the company's approach to providing clients with access to familiar cryptocurrencies backed by an ecosystem of education, tools, resources, and support. The addition of these new assets is part of a broader effort to make crypto more accessible to mainstream investors.
