Schwab Expert Maps Out Crypto Portfolio Amid Debasement Fears
Charles Schwab's Director of Equity Research Adam Lynch says investors concerned about fiat currency debasement have a range of crypto assets to choose from, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Lynch believes that most of an allocation should be in the largest assets, with a smaller portion in riskier alternatives like Solana and XRP. He prefers legislation over SEC and CFTC rules, which are easier to implement but also easier to reverse.
Bitcoin is the classic store-of-value play for investors worried about fiat debasement, according to Lynch, who added that it was suitable for such concerns. Ethereum offers more functionality than Bitcoin, he said.
Lynch stated that 'any kind of fiscal intervention would be positive for crypto.' He also mentioned that a mix mattered more than the pick, but noted that Bitcoin is an anchor and should remain so.
