Schwab Filing Reveals Growing Institutional Use of XRP-Linked ETFs
A recent filing by Charles Schwab has highlighted the growing institutional use of XRP-linked exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The Sept. 8 Form N-MFP3 shows that nearly $4.8 million in XRP ETF shares were listed as collateral in the Schwab Prime Advantage Money Fund.
The filing names Grayscale, Canary, and Franklin XRP-linked ETF products among the collateralized assets, with a combined value of $1.01 million, $3.06 million, and $702,000 respectively. However, it does not confirm that Schwab directly purchased these shares.
Instead, the disclosure adds another example of XRP-linked products appearing in investment records. Other investment firms have also reported growing exposure to XRP ETFs, with Clear Creek Financial Management disclosing 11,621 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF for the quarter ending June 30, and Leisure Capital Management reporting 16,745 shares of the Franklin XRP ETF.
