Schwab Fund Holds $4.8M in XRP ETF Collateral Amid Rising Institutional Adoption
Charles Schwab's fund reports significant holdings in XRP ETFs as collateral. According to a regulatory filing, the Schwab Prime Advantage Money Fund listed over $1 million in shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF, while another nearly $3.06 million was reported for the Canary XRP ETF and around $702,000 for the Franklin XRP ETF.
The collective total amounts to approximately $4.8 million used as collateral. This development indicates a growing willingness among institutional portfolios to consider digital assets in their financial infrastructure.
Meanwhile, several investment advisers and wealth managers have also begun integrating XRP-linked ETFs into their holdings. Recent SEC filings show that Clear Creek Financial Management owns 11,621 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF, while Leisure Capital Management holds 16,745 shares in the Franklin XRP ETF.
Despite this increasing adoption, the underlying XRP token is currently trading 60% below its all-time high. This decline has led to closer scrutiny of crypto ETF products among institutional investors.
