Charles Schwab is expanding its cryptocurrency trading platform to include Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK) in the coming months. This move will allow clients to trade these assets directly alongside traditional investments through Schwab's website, mobile app, and thinkorswim platform.

The addition of SOL, AVAX, and LINK represents a significant step for Schwab as it builds out its retail crypto business beyond Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). The brokerage currently has 39.9 million active accounts with trillions of dollars in client assets.

Schwarb charges 75 basis points, or 0.75%, on the dollar value of each cryptocurrency transaction. This service is available across the United States except New York and Louisiana and is not offered in U.S. territories or international markets.
