Schwab's $4.8M in XRP ETF Collateral Holdings Signal Institutional Adoption
Charles Schwab's latest filing reveals that it holds approximately $4.8 million in XRP-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) as collateral assets, marking a significant step forward for institutional adoption of XRP-based investment products.
The documentation, dated September 8, shows that Grayscale XRP Trust ETF shares held as collateral totaled around $1.01 million, while the same filing listed about $3.06 million in Canary XRP ETF shares and approximately $702,000 in Franklin XRP ETF shares.
These positions may represent securities posted as collateral in lending arrangements or other financial operations, rather than direct purchases by Schwab for its money market fund.
Clear Creek Financial Management reported holding 11,621 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF as of June 30, and Leisure Capital Management included 16,745 shares of Franklin XRP ETF in its second-quarter portfolio.
