Schwartz Blasts 'Legacy Chain' Framing of Bitcoin Fork
Ripple's David Schwartz has pushed back against an advocate of the BIP-110 proposal, criticizing the framing of Bitcoin as a 'legacy chain' in need of repair.
The exchange occurred on X on August 31, when Loogart, a prominent supporter of BIP-110, described the planned BLAKE2b fork as an attack on Bitcoin, drawing comparisons to earlier contentious splits like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV.
Schwartz responded by pointing out that the group had refused to accept the outcome of governance and instead chose to pursue an independent blockchain with a different proof-of-work system.
