Schwartz Fires Back at BIP 110 Supporters as Fork Fizzles
Ripple executive David Schwartz has responded strongly to supporters of BIP 110, which aims to create an alternative Bitcoin network using the BLAKE2b hash function.
The controversy began on September 1st and has been brewing around the new BLAKE2b chain. Following a split from the main Bitcoin network, the first BIP 110 fork stopped producing blocks after just eight hours, leaving it outside of $BTC's blockchain.
No major exchanges, wallets or Lightning Network services have announced support for the new chain.
