Schwartz: XRP More Likely to Flip Bitcoin via Price Surge

Ripple's former chief technology officer David Schwartz has stated that XRP is more likely to overtake Bitcoin through its own price appreciation than by a collapse in Bitcoin's value.

In response to a scenario laid out during a live X Space event, Schwartz said he believes XRP surging is 'probably more likely' to flip Bitcoin than the other way around.

The former CTO noted that such an outcome would require XRP to rise by nearly 18 times from its current price of $1.39, while a collapse in Bitcoin's value would need to be a decline of over 94% from its current market capitalization of $1.57 trillion.

This assessment comes as the XRP Ledger continues to undergo verification work, with software engineers expanding machine-checked testing to verify core code across the network.
