Scott Touts Trump's Unprecedented Ethics Pledge as Crypto Bill Gains Steam

Share

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) recently appeared on Fox Business to promote a bill called the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which aims to establish clear regulations for the cryptocurrency industry in the US.

Scott claimed that President Donald Trump's agreement to abide by the same ethics standards as other elected officials is a significant achievement, stating that no previous president has ever done so.

The bill includes provisions that ban officials from issuing, sponsoring, and promoting digital assets, as well as requiring financial disclosures. However, opponents argue that it does not provide sufficient protection for consumers or the financial system.

Notably, Trump's crypto holdings have generated $1.43 billion in revenue since he took office, raising concerns about potential corruption and conflicts of interest.
