SEC Clears Nasdaq Texas Rules for Commodity-Based Crypto Trusts
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved a rule change for Nasdaq Texas, allowing commodity-based crypto trusts to be listed on the exchange.
The approval adds a formal definition of digital commodities to listing standards for these trust shares, which can hold up to 15% of net asset value in non-qualifying assets.
Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP have been identified as meeting the relevant criteria in the SEC's order, which grants accelerated approval for Nasdaq Texas' amended Rule 5711(d).
