SEC Ponders Crypto-Style Trading for US Stocks
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced a public roundtable on September 17, 2026 to discuss the feasibility of crypto-like 24/7 trading of U.S. stocks.
The event will feature panelists from prominent players in legacy finance, including Citi, BlackRock, Nasdaq, Charles Schwab, Jane Street, and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
The agenda includes discussions on exchange readiness, system resiliency, surveillance, cybersecurity, liquidity, and investor protections.
