SEC Proposes Blockchain Share Records, Boosting Real-World Asset Tokenization
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed a major rewrite of transfer-agent rules to include blockchain ownership records and tokenized securities. This move could make distributed ledgers a more normal part of how US shares are recorded and transferred.
Chainlink, an oracle infrastructure that brings market prices and other off-chain information into smart contracts, is one of the established cryptos tied to real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. It has a broad infrastructure case because tokenized markets need trusted data and interoperability.
