SEC Proposes Disclosure-Based Routes for Crypto Projects

Share

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, which outlines possible disclosure-based routes for certain contracts. The proposal suggests that projects could raise up to $5 million over four years or $75 million per year, but only if they meet specific disclosure requirements.

One project that is closely tied to the SEC's proposal is Apeing, a community-led meme project with planned utility and entertainment-oriented engagement. According to Apeing's website, the project has already received more than 12,000 whitelist registrations and plans to launch in early September, with a Stage 1 price of $0.0001 and a target listing price of $0.01.

The SEC's proposal has sparked renewed interest in crypto presales for 2026, with many investors and researchers taking a closer look at the potential implications of the proposed regulations.
