SEC Proposes New Crypto Regulations as Remittix Nears $32 Million Milestone
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed a new framework for regulating crypto assets. The Regulation Crypto Assets proposal introduces exemptions for smaller offerings, a larger annual fundraising pathway, and a conditional safe harbor governing when an asset may no longer be treated as part of an investment contract.
The proposal aims to give token issuers clearer routes to raise capital in the United States. Qualifying issuers would be allowed to raise up to $5 million during a four-year period under a startup exemption, and eligible offerings of up to $75 million during each 12-month period with financial statements and continuing reporting requirements.
The Remittix project has tied its next major announcement to a clear presale milestone. The RTX listing date will be revealed when funding reaches $32 million. With over $31.75 million raised so far, the project is just $250,000 short of this target. Over 40,000 people have participated in the presale.
