SEC Rules Could Spark U.S. Token Boom, Grayscale Predicts
Grayscale believes that new SEC rules could lead to a surge in token fundraising in the United States. The proposed Regulation Crypto Assets includes two exemptions for eligible projects, allowing them to raise up to $5 million over four years or $75 million within 12 months.
The proposal aims to create a clearer path for certain crypto projects that want to raise money through token offerings. Grayscale expects Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain to see more activity if clearer U.S. rules encourage more token launches and investors.
Regulation Crypto Assets also includes a proposed 'investment contract safe harbor.' Under certain conditions, an issuer could say that it has finished or permanently stopped the management work it originally promised investors.
