SEC Set to Vote on Crypto Fundraising Rules with $75M Cap
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to vote on proposed crypto fundraising rules that could give token projects a tailored route to raise capital without full securities registration.
If approved, the proposal would open for public comment when released and not provide an immediate exemption for issuers.
The SEC's open meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Aug. 14, where it will discuss parts of a framework that SEC Chair Paul Atkins outlined in March.
