The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has unexpectedly canceled its long-awaited proposal of Reg Crypto, a regulatory framework for digital assets. The decision to postpone indefinitely comes without an announced new date for the meeting.
CoinDesk reported in May that the SEC would unveil a proposed rule requiring companies to register their cryptocurrency investments as securities with the agency.
