SEC to Weigh Tailored Rules for Crypto Investment Contracts
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to discuss introducing new offering rules for cryptocurrency-related investment contracts at an upcoming open meeting.
The SEC will review a proposed rule to establish a tailored offering regime for certain crypto-related investment contracts at its August 15 meeting, according to host Eleanor Terrett of Crypto in America.
If the proposal is approved, the agency would begin a public comment process that could lead to formal discussions on adopting the related rules.
