SEC Unveils Broad Crypto Regulatory Plan Amid CLARITY Act Delay

Share

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to unveil a comprehensive plan for regulating cryptocurrencies, as Senate action on the CLARITY Act has been delayed.

The SEC will consider applying separate issuance rules to certain crypto investment contracts at its public meeting on August 14.

The proposal may include a safe harbor that would grant temporary exemptions from securities registration requirements to early-stage token sales.
