SecondFi Hacked for 16M ADA, Ultimatum Issued to Hacker
SecondFi, a decentralized lending protocol operating on the Cardano blockchain, has issued a public ultimatum to the hacker responsible for stealing 16.1 million ADA in June 2025.
The attacker exploited a vulnerability and drained the funds from SecondFi's wallet, estimated at several million dollars based on prices at the time of the attack.
In an attempt to recover the stolen assets, SecondFi has kept a bug bounty offer open for the hacker to return the funds in exchange for a reward.
The protocol has also issued a warning that if the hacker doesn't cooperate, their wallets will be identified and blacklisted by centralized exchanges, making it difficult to convert the stolen ADA into fiat currency.
