SecondFi Unveils Plan to Recover Stolen Cardano Funds
The Cardano wallet SecondFi has announced its plan to return stolen funds to affected users following a hack in June 2026.
In June, hackers exploited a vulnerability in the Android version of the app and stole 16.1 million ADA, worth around $2.5 million, from 374 SecondFi wallets.
The team has developed a three-stage roadmap for returning the funds: claims submission, migration tool, and ZK refund portal.
The project is permanently winding down its regular operations and focusing on safely withdrawing remaining assets and distributing compensation to affected users.
The team will use a Web3 compensation tool based on zero-knowledge proofs in collaboration with Input Output Group and the Cardano Foundation.
