Securitize Proposes Blockchain-Friendly Best Execution Guidelines

Share

Securitize and Douro Labs have submitted a joint letter to FINRA in response to Regulatory Notice 26-15, which seeks comment on modernizing best execution guidance under Rule 5310.

The proposed solutions include integrating gas fees and prefunding costs into total cost analysis, cross-market routing, execution-quality reviews, and investor-directed slippage protection.

Tokenized securities have a market capitalization of more than $14 billion, but brokers lack clear rules on whether MEV mitigation or validator selection is part of best execution.

The comment deadline is September 25, 2026, and the results will impact broker-dealers, ATSs, custodians, transfer agents, and DeFi protocols that process tokenized stock and Treasury exchanges.
