Securitize Secures Major Investments from Blockchain Capital Amid Tokenization Success
Securitize, a tokenization platform that went public through a SPAC merger on July 1, 2026, has secured significant investments from Blockchain Capital. This commitment is a testament to the success of their partnership in tokenizing Blockchain Capital's Fund III, creating the BCAP token between 2017 and 2019.
The company now holds over $4 billion in assets on its platform as of mid-2026, including BlackRock's BUIDL fund. Securitize also tokenized its common stock on both Solana and Avalanche, generating around $295 million in tokenized shares.
Blockchain Capital participated in Securitize's $48 million Series B funding round in June 2021, demonstrating their conviction in the platform. This investment has now translated into a 6% stake in the newly public entity, with approximately 9.83 million shares rolled over from Blockchain Capital's affiliated funds.
