Sei Stalls at $0.06 Ahead of Giga Upgrade with Ambitious TPS Goals
Sei (SEI) is hovering near $0.06 as traders assess whether the upcoming Giga upgrade can spark a recovery to $0.20.
The Layer 1 token's price has slipped towards the $0.02 demand zone after a bearish trend that began in 2025. Despite this, analysts at Coinpedia argue that the multi-year falling wedge has formed due to three clear resistance touches, with the most recent occurring in September 2025.
The Giga upgrade, which introduces Autobahn consensus and asynchronous execution, aims for over 200,000 transactions per second and sub-400 millisecond finality. Coinbase's migration to native EVM support has enabled seamless sends and receives on the network, while Sumvin Inc.'s integration in late February utilized sub-second finality for AI-driven financial execution.
However, analysts warn that monthly token unlocks remain a headwind, with 55.56 million SEI (0.97% of supply) scheduled to enter circulation on April 15, adding fresh sell pressure even as institutional integrations expand.
