SEI Teeters Near $0.06 as Giga Upgrade Targets 200k TPS Leap
SEI's price has been hovering near $0.06 as traders weigh the potential impact of the upcoming Giga upgrade, which aims to increase transaction processing speeds by more than 200,000 transactions per second.
The Layer 1 token broke below the psychological support level of $0.10 in the first quarter of this year and is currently trading inside a multi-year falling wedge. Analysts at Coinpedia argue that the wedge has been shaped by three clear resistance touches, with the most recent one occurring in September 2025.
The Giga upgrade introduces the Autobahn consensus and asynchronous execution, which will enable faster transaction processing and sub-400 millisecond finality. Coinbase began routing all SEI transactions through the new EVM standard during a migration window in April, while Sumvin Inc. has already gone live on the network using its sub-second finality for AI-driven financial execution.
However, analysts warn that monthly token unlocks remain a headwind, with about 55.56 million SEI scheduled to enter circulation on April 15, adding fresh sell pressure even as institutional integrations expand.
