Senate Faces Deadline to Pass Crypto Clarity Act Amid Slim Chances of Passage
The US Senate has only five days left to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act before it goes on summer recess. The bill, which aims to clarify jurisdictional lines between the SEC and CFTC for crypto oversight, has been in Congress for over a year.
In July 2025, the House passed the CLARITY Act with a bipartisan vote of 294-134. The Senate Banking Committee then advanced it on May 14, 2026, with a 15-9 vote.
