Senate Prepares to Vote on Crypto Regulatory Bill
The US Senate is set to vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633) within the next seven days, with a procedural motion to proceed expected as early as July 27-28.
If passed, the bill would establish clear jurisdictional lines between the SEC and CFTC over digital assets.
The Clarity Act emerged from a merged draft combining input from both the Senate Banking Committee and the Agriculture Committee, which advanced the legislation with a 15-9 vote on May 14, 2026.
President Trump's direct engagement on the ethics language has been a key factor in accelerating the bill's timeline, with his involvement dating back to July 16 meeting with senators.
