Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer (CLO), Paul Grewal, expressed skepticism about the Senate's support for the Clarity Act after a major law enforcement group endorsed its latest version.

The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) publicly backed the revised legislation, citing that it addresses their previous concerns while maintaining investigators' ability to tackle crypto-related crimes.

Grewal questioned whether the Senate stands with the FOP in supporting the bill or against it, urging them to take action. He noted that the updated version of the Clarity Act seems to strike a better balance between encouraging innovation and giving investigators the tools they need to combat fraud and illicit finance involving digital assets.

The Clarity Act has been pending approval for some time, with its latest version garnering attention from lawmakers.
