Sentora Greenlights FXRP as Collateral for RLUSD Lending
The Sentora platform has approved FXRP as collateral in its RLUSD Main vault on Morpho, marking a significant development for XRP holders. This approval allows users to borrow RLUSD against their FXRP holdings without having to sell their XRP exposure.
According to Flare, the approval is a major milestone in bridging the gap between XRP's large market capitalization and its limited use in DeFi. Sentora's RLUSD Main vault holds approximately $280 million in deposited RLUSD, making it the largest institutionally curated RLUSD vault on Ethereum.
FXRP holders can now mint FXRP through Flare's FAssets system, bridge it to Ethereum via Stargate, and deposit it into the FXRP/RLUSD market. The borrowing process is non-custodial and permissionless, with interest rates adjusting based on utilization and a liquidation threshold in place.
Flare is also working on a more streamlined process for XRP holders to access the market, including a Flare Smart Accounts flow that would allow users to authorize transactions from their XRP Ledger wallet without needing to bridge FXRP to Ethereum first.
