SharpLink Co-CEO Sees Bright Future for Ethereum Despite Market Pessimism
SharpLink Co-CEO Joseph Chalom spoke at the Injective Summit 2026 in Washington, where he expressed optimism about Ethereum's future despite current market pessimism. According to him, there is a divergence between reality and market sentiment.
Ethereum accounts for over 50% of stablecoin transaction volume and nearly 60% of tokenized real-world assets, with DeFi dominance remaining unchallenged. SharpLink has partnered with ConsenSys to fund three core teams spun off from the Ethereum Foundation, focusing on institutional-grade scaling, privacy compliance, and market adoption.
SharpLink has maintained zero leverage and no debt during the bear market, instead choosing to make ETH 'productive' by generating revenue through staking and DeFi participation. The company recently bought another 10,000 ETH in June at an average cost of about $1,611, bringing its total ETH holdings to 886,725 ETH.
Chalom emphasized that Ethereum is winning, but the communication problem lies with the Ethereum Foundation's decision to downsize and let ecosystem participants support the roadmap. SharpLink is backing their position with action, investing in spin-off projects within the Ethereum ecosystem.
