Sharplink Gaming Suffers $394 Million Loss Amid Falling Ether Prices
Sharplink Gaming reported a net loss of $394.3 million for the second quarter of 2025, largely due to falling ether prices.
The company's revenue increased to $11.5 million, up from $697,000 in the same period last year, with most of it coming from staking its ether holdings.
Sharplink booked a $321 million unrealized loss on its crypto assets and recorded $76.1 million in impairments, which are non-cash accounting charges that do not affect the number of tokens owned.
The company's Ethereum holdings continue to grow, with Sharplink holding about 886,881 ether and ether equivalents as of June 30, increasing to 888,938 by August 3.
