Sharplink Suffers $394M Loss Amid ETH Price Drop
Sharplink, an Ethereum (ETH) treasury company, reported a net loss of $394.3 million in Q2 due to a decline in digital asset prices.
The company's revenue surged 16-fold to $11.5 million, mainly driven by staking revenue, which accounted for the bulk of this at $11.161 million.
However, an unrealized loss of $321 million on digital assets and impairment losses of $76.1 million on LsETH and weETH significantly impacted profitability.
Sharplink is seeking to diversify its revenue streams by launching a new fund in collaboration with Galaxy Digital Asset Manager, but the actual commencement of operations has not been confirmed yet.
