SHIB Burn Rate Soars 439% as Over 10M Tokens Are Sent to 'Dead Wallets'
Shiba Inu's burn rate surged to a new high of 439.79% in the last 24 hours, marking a significant increase from the previous day. According to Shibburn, a total of 10,684,707 SHIB tokens were burned during this period. This brings the cumulative total of burnt SHIB to 173.37 million over the past seven days and 3.36 billion in the last 30 days.
The majority of these burnt tokens have been sent to 'dead wallets', effectively removing them from circulation. The Shibburn website reports that a staggering 410,843,703,896,181 SHIB has been burned through 21,502 transactions. This rapid burn rate may be attributed to the increased adoption and usage of the Shiba Inu token.
However, it's essential to note that the SHIB price remains relatively stable, down 1.26% in the last 24 hours and 7.38% weekly. The current market conditions are influenced by various factors, including the Senate's decision not to vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act before its August break.
