SHIB Legacy Link Misdirection: Community Veteran Warns Dead Ends Abound

A veteran member of the Shiba Inu community has sounded an alarm about a legacy website link that suggests the project is dead.

Mazrael, a long-time community member and advisor to Shiba Eternity, pointed out that the link at shibatoken.com, which was registered just three days after SHIB launched in August 2020, no longer redirects to the SHIB ecosystem.

The Shibatoken page, last updated on April 17, 2026, now displays a takedown notice. Mazrael noted that thousands of partner pages, listings, directories, wallets, and explorers pointing to this link have been silently converted into dead ends.

This means anyone evaluating Shiba Inu from these sources will conclude the project is dead, which Mazrael assures is not the case: 'Shibatoken wasn't a website that people visited directly. It was a redirect. Someone made a deliberate choice to cut Shib's own traffic away from Shib's own ecosystem,' he stated.
