SHIB Sees Massive Token Exits Amidst Continued Burn Events
Shiba Inu's (SHIB) token burn events have been substantial this week, but surprisingly, they haven't had a significant impact on its price. One reason for this is that over 110 billion SHIB tokens have left exchanges, reducing the immediately available supply and potentially alleviating some selling pressure.
Exchange balances are an important indicator of potential sell-side liquidity. Tokens transferred to private wallets are not permanently removed from circulation, but sustained withdrawals can suggest that holders are willing to hold onto their SHIB for the long-term.
The community has been concerned about a reported drop in network transaction activity and the role of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) within the ecosystem. Shibarium L2 continues to burn hundreds of millions of SHIB, according to Mazrael, a longtime contributor to the Shibarium ecosystem.
