SHIB Supply Reduction Slows Down Amid Ongoing Price Pressure
More than half a billion SHIB disappeared from circulation in August as part of a major token burn. According to Burnalytics data, 588.2 million SHIB reached dead wallets during the month, effectively leaving the available supply permanently. This includes significant contributions from Robinhood and Coinbase, which burned over 56 million tokens through multiple transactions.
While this may seem like a substantial reduction in supply, the August burn total is actually significantly lower than July's massive figure of 3.24 billion SHIB. The slowdown in burn activity could reduce the immediate impact of supply reduction on the price of SHIB. Additionally, the token's enormous circulating supply remains a major factor, making sustained burns necessary to strengthen scarcity across longer market cycles.
SHIB investors are watching these developments closely as they seek to boost the price of the token. However, it appears that demand remains the missing piece for a stronger bullish setup. Rising purchases and stronger market sentiment could amplify the impact of every burned token, but until then, SHIB's price may continue to struggle.
