SHIB Users Warned of Fake 'Official' Accounts Amid Scam Concerns

SHIB veteran Mazrael has issued a security warning to SHIB users after noticing an increase in fake profiles claiming to represent official project channels. According to Mazrael, there are currently no new 'official' Shiba Inu accounts or channels, and any legitimate updates regarding future communication platforms will be shared through verified ecosystem resources, specifically the official website shib.io.

This warning comes as impersonation scams continue to target projects with large user bases, including SHIB. Attackers often create accounts that mimic developers, advisors, or official brands to promote fraudulent links or collect sensitive information.

Despite slower market conditions in 2026, Shiba Inu developers are continuing to work on ecosystem infrastructure. Mazrael highlighted that builders are still delivering updates, pointing to expanded developer resources designed to support applications on Shibarium.
